Marge’s Crumb Cake

Serves 24 to 30

Oven: 350º Time: Bake base 20 Minutes; add crumbs for additional 20 Minutes

Ingredients for Base:

2 ½ Cups Flour

1 ½ Cups Sugar

1 Cup Milk

2 Large Eggs

3 Tsp Baking Powder

1 Tsp Salt

1 ½ Tsp Vanilla

½ Cup Butter

Dump all ingredients into mixing bowl and beat for 3 minutes.

Pour into greased 11 x 17 Jelly Roll Baking Pan.

Bake for 20 minutes @ 350º.

Ingredients for Crumbs
4 Cups Flour

1 ½ Cup Sugar

1 Lb. Butter (start with ¾ lb, t hen add as needed.)

2 Tbl. Vanilla

2 Tsp. Cinnamon

Directions:

Cut together with pastry blender or by hand.

Pile all crumbs on top of hot cake. Spread evenly.

Bake another 20 minutes.

Sift powdered sugar over cooled cake.

For crumbs you can reduce butter by ¼ lb. You can also use ½ margarine and ½ butter.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
Mix:
1 2/3 cup sour cream
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 sticks soft margarineAdd & Mix:
3 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp saltTopping:
In a separate bowl, mix
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Into greased tube or Bundt pan, place 1/2 batter; sprinkle with 1/2 topping; place rest of batter on top; sprinkle with rest of topping. Bake 45-50 minutes

PRAY FOR OUR TROOPS

This video is taken from a British series where
a man called Gareth Malone takes a group of people and turns them into a
choir. This time he’s taken a group of military wives whose husbands are all
away in Afghanistan and turned them into a choir. Gareth looks about 16yrs
old but is actually in his mid-30s and a Choir master for the London
Symphony Orchestra, among other things. They wrote a song based on excerpts
from letters written by the couples whilst apart and this is the beautiful result.
